The 45th annual Maryland Seafood Festival will be September 8th and 9th this year at Sandy Point State Park. “Savor the Bay” with fun and delicious activities like The Capital Crab Soup Cook-off, Maryland Fishing Challenge, craft beer tastings, bike stunt shows, live musical performances and more. The 2012 Maryland Seafood Festival will feature 25 additional menu items, dozens of vendors, kids exhibits and a 45 year old tradition of Maryland.

Every year following Labor Day weekend the Maryland Seafood Festival attracts seafood lovers from across the state of Maryland. More than 20,000 visitors are known to come for the annual two-day event from all over the mid-Atlantic region.

Whether you’re going for all the seafood samplings, the cook-off competition, the bike shows, the fishing challenge or the beautiful Sandy Point scenery, go prepared for a great time spent at the 2012 Maryland Seafood Festival in Annapolis.

The Sachs Memorial Summer Jazz series gives Annapolis locals a place to come and enjoy outdoor concerts along the labyrinth on select nights during August and September. On select Wednesdays of August and September, make your way over to the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and groove to a free jazz concert in the evening. Make sure to bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket and snacks to make the night even more eventful.

The next two Sachs Memorial summer jazz concerts will be August 29th and September 12th so mark your calendars from now! Grab a spot and settle in on the front lawn at the MHCA and celebrate the summer to smooth tunes by local jazz artists. Sachs Jazz concerts are a great activity for the entire family and open to the public.
